Why in school camps?
In 2020 we had Covid shut down all opportunities for school residential trips, fast forward to 2021 and there was an awful lot of uncertainty as to whether schools could travel to outdoor centres, this forced us to approach trips differently, we thought if schools can't come to us, we'll come to them. This started with one school and over the course of the summer of 2021 we visited dozens of schools and brought a unique opportunity for adventure and experience into the school field. Fast forward to now and our in school camps continue to be popular, they allow a wonderful experience for children across a range of ages for a fraction of the price. We offer a range of options from activities and catering that allow you to tailor a program that works for you and your school.

Our luxury canvas bell tents come with ample space for 6+ children, and all come supplied with lights and camp beds. As well as the sleeping tents we also bring along our Jurtes to provide ample dining space for the whole class and the perfect place to sit around the fire whatever the weather.

There's a whole host of activities to choose from, from archery to survival skills. Depending on what you choose we can fill both the evening and the day after with a whole host of activities to make the experience even more memorable.

The vast majority of schools choose to allow us to provide catering during the camp. For one night camps we typically offer a BBQ option, comprising of all the favourites, and breakfast options usually consist of a choice of cereals and pastries.

Basic Camp Package
Our basic camp package includes the following:
2 x Wilderness Staff, camp set up on your school grounds, use of camp beds, luxury canvas tents, Jurte (Large tipi for inclement weather) benches, lights and fire pit.

BBQ + Breakfast + Campfire add-on
This add on caters for our staff to deliver an onsite BBQ, following this staff will deliver a campfire session including toasting marshmallows and camp songs. A Breakfast or cereals and pastries is also included in this add on.

Activities add-on
This final add on includes activities delivered for the children before their evening meal, typically Archery, Survival Skills or Team Games. This is popular as it means Wilderness Staff run the programme from the moment the children come out of school to the next morning.
